Review Guidelines

Write a helpful review

• Share your own genuine experience as a customer of the business.
• Be specific and relevant — the job, communication, timing and result.
• Be respectful, even when the experience was poor.

Not allowed

• Harassment, threats, hate speech or discriminatory content.
• Spam, advertising or unrelated content.
• Impersonating someone else.
• Private or personal information — such as home addresses, phone numbers or other people's names and details.
• Conflicts of interest: reviewing your own business, a business you work for, or a competitor, or reviews offered in exchange for payment or rewards. Owners of a business cannot review it.

How moderation works

• New reviews are checked by PG Picks before they are published.
• Edits to a review are also checked before the change appears.
• Business owner responses are moderated before they are published.
• Anyone signed in can report a published review. PG Picks may reject or remove content that breaks these guidelines.

Moderation checks that a review follows these guidelines. It does not prove that every statement in a review is factually correct. Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them.

How ratings are calculated

A business's star rating and review count are calculated only from published customer reviews. Owner responses are not reviews and never count toward a rating. Membership or payment never changes ratings or reviews.
