Business & Owner Terms

These terms apply to businesses listed on PG Picks and to people who manage a listing. They add to the general Terms of Use.

Accurate information

Businesses must provide accurate, current information and must be authorized to list or manage the business.

Claiming a business

  • You need a PG Picks account, signed in, to claim a business.
  • PG Picks reviews each claim. Approval gives your account access to manage that listing.
  • Claim approval does not verify or publish a business. Those are separate PG Picks decisions.
  • PG Picks may remove owner access when appropriate. Removing access does not delete the listing.

Owner edits and photos

  • Changes to listing details are sent to PG Picks as requests. The public listing changes only after PG Picks approves them.
  • New photos stay private until PG Picks approves them. You can remove your own photos that are still pending.
  • Owners can choose the cover photo and the order of photos PG Picks has already approved, without further approval.
  • Removing an approved photo requires a deletion request that PG Picks must approve.
  • Photo limits depend on your membership plan, as shown in your dashboard.

Verification

Verification is controlled only by PG Picks and is separate from membership and payment. "PG Picks Verified" means PG Picks has confirmed the business identity and contact information associated with the listing. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of workmanship, pricing, licensing, insurance or future performance.

Memberships and payment

  • Membership affects your profile's badge and photo allowance. Founding Pro, Pro and Premium include a Request a Quote form; quote requests go only to your business, and you must use customer details only to respond. Founding Pro, Pro and Premium share equal turns in clearly labelled "Sponsored" spots above relevant results. Premium and active Founding Pro also include clearly labelled "Featured" paid placement. Both rotate fairly among eligible members.
  • Membership, including Sponsored and Featured placement, does not influence PG Picks' Recommended ranking and does not guarantee any ranking position, impressions, leads, jobs or revenue.
  • Paying does not verify or publish a listing, and does not guarantee customers, leads, jobs or revenue.
  • Prices are in CAD and applicable taxes are added at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Monthly plans are managed through the Stripe billing page linked from PG Picks. Founding Pro is a one-time payment covering the first 12 months and does not renew automatically.

Reviews

  • Reviews are independent of membership. Paying never changes ratings or reviews.
  • Businesses cannot have customer reviews removed simply because they disagree with them. You can report a review that breaks the Review Guidelines.
  • Owners and staff may not review their own business.
  • Owner responses are moderated by PG Picks before they are published.

PG Picks' role

PG Picks may correct, hide or remove listings, photos or other content when needed to keep information accurate or to enforce these terms, the Terms of Use or the Review Guidelines.
